Sweet Potatoes - The Sweet Italians
Sweet Potatoes …nurtured by the elements of earth, fire, and the spirit of the artist. Full of life and light, in radiant translucent colors. Unique and individual every one—each with new growth leaves and special potato eyes. The Italian Potato group glows with the warmth of ochre, rust and olive. The Floral group appears to be growing in colors that will bring the excitement of spring’s new beginnings all year round – pinks, lavenders, and crisp greens. Reflecting the exotic colors of life forms growing deep in the ocean reefs is the grouping named Sea Potatoes in aqua, turquoise and the most exotic purple imaginable. They appear to be moving with the flow of warm water currents. These pieces are designed by the artists to be grouped in threes, but successfully grown (and sold) individually as well. - $425 each.

Pomegranates
The Pomegranate fruit holds a rich symbolic history of unity, fertility, rebirth and abundance. Ancient Greeks believed that it was Aphrodite, the goddess of love, who planted the first Pomegranate on the isle of Cyprus, and gave the fruit its reputation as a powerful aphrodisiac and “love potion”. In Greek, Roman, Persian, Hebrew and Chinese lore, the Pomegranate became a symbol of fertility. It has played a vital role in wedding traditions through the ages as a symbol of new beginnings. The prophet Mohammed recommended eating the fruit to purge the human condition from envy and rage. In Jewish tradition, Pomegranates are an emblem of prosperity and in Christian art, they stand for hope. Being a winter fruit, the Pomegranate is linked with ideas of a return to life and immortality. As a symbol for Unity, many hundreds of jewel like ruby seeds are full of brilliant life, nestled together within the garnet orb of one fruit. Large Round - 7" diameter - $425 and Large Tall - 9" height - $425.
